Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Daily Tasbeeh ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Daily Tasbeeh mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

• Account: Your name, email address and profile picture, provided by Google when you sign in. We never see or store a password — sign-in is handled entirely by Google.
• Dhikr Data: Dhikr names, Arabic text, schedules, and count history you create inside the app. Names and Arabic text are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored or transmitted.
• Crash Reports: Anonymous diagnostic data collected via Sentry to improve app stability. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Device Info: Limited device identifiers used solely for crash reporting.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the app and its features.
• To sync your data securely across your devices via the cloud.
• We do not send you email. The app has no mailing list and sends no marketing or notification messages.
• To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
• We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than running the app.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google — Sign-in. Google confirms who you are and shares your name, email address and profile picture with the app. Google does not receive your dhikr data.
• Supabase — Cloud data storage and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase servers.
• Sentry — Crash reporting and performance monitoring.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We are not responsible for their practices.

5. Data Security

Dhikr names and Arabic text are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being saved on your device or sent to our servers. All communication uses TLS.

This is encryption at rest, not end-to-end encryption. The key is generated by the app and stored on our servers so that your data follows you to a new device without you having to remember anything. That means we hold the key, and could in principle read your dhikr names. We do not, and nothing in the app does — but you should know it is technically possible rather than be told otherwise.

What the encryption does protect: a lost or stolen phone, and anyone who obtains a copy of the stored data without also holding the key.

Access to your rows is additionally restricted so that no other user can read them. While we implement strong safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible and takes effect immediately.

One exception: when an account is deleted we keep a one-way SHA-256 hash of the email address for 30 days. It is not reversible into your email and is never used to contact you — its only purpose is to stop the same address being used to immediately re-register. The hash is removed automatically after 30 days.

7. Your Rights

• Access: View all your data through the app at any time.
• Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all data via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• Correction: Update your account information within the app.

8. Children's Privacy

Daily Tasbeeh is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notification or a notice within the app. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
